James ("Jim") P. Calve is Of Counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He represents clients in a variety of areas including patent litigation, licensing, International Trade Commission proceedings, and business transactions.

Jim focuses on patent litigation in the Federal Courts and also counsels clients on protecting and enforcing intellectual property. This work includes patent counseling and opinions, licensing, product clearances, due diligence, patent prosecution, and IP-related business issues.

Jim has worked in a wide variety of chemical, electrical, and mechanical technologies including computers, business methods, semiconductors, integrated circuits, automotive technologies, medical instruments, gaming devices, and power tools and systems.
