Jeffrey ("Jeff") B. Bove is a Partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He has been a member of the firm’s Management Committee since 1993 and he is the Practice Leader of the Intellectual Property Litigation section.
He represents clients in a variety of areas including technology licensing, patent misuse evaluations, patent litigation and complex commercial litigation.
Jeff has over 28 years of litigation experience and has served as lead counsel in numerous cases covering a variety of subjects. He is listed in over 120 reported opinions, including 11 appeals before the Federal Circuit.
Jeff argued successfully the Bayer v. Housey appeal for Bayer Corporation at the Federal Circuit, an important case of first impression involving the scope of 35 U.S.C. sec. 271(g). More recently, he served as lead counsel for Talecris in Talecris Biotherapeutics v. Baxter, in which Talecris obtained a favorable settlement on the eve of trial. Jeff also served as co-counsel for Pfizer in Pfizer v. Ranbaxy, in which Pfizer's basic patent covering Lipitor® was upheld.
Jeff frequently provides local counsel services for out of state clients in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
