Grant T. Langton is a Partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where his practice emphasizes domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution, enforcement, licensing and counseling. He represents clients in a variety of areas including trademarks, patent prosecution, licensing and counseling.

Grant has extensive experience prosecuting patent and trademark applications worldwide, and has prepared licensing, consulting, employment, confidentiality, technology, and product development agreements. He regularly counsels clients on matters related to patentability, design-around options and the infringement, validity and enforceability of patents. In addition, he has assisted in-house counsel, presidents, chief executive officers, chief financial and chief technology officers of businesses in the development, maintenance and exploitation of intellectual property portfolios.

Grant is actively involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and creating and maintaining patent portfolios in a variety of diverse technology areas including material science, automobile technology, semiconductor technology, fluid handling technology, polymer science, and adhesive technology.

Prior to practicing law, Grant worked as a process and design engineer in the petrochemical industry.
